Hawzah News Agency- The ministry said approximately 1,800 other children have been injured since the military campaign began on February 28, raising alarm over the humanitarian toll of the conflict.
Images from the southern province of Hormozgan Province showed mourners gathering at cemeteries to commemorate victims, many of them children, following a strike on a girls’ primary school in the city of Minab earlier this month.
The escalation has placed the wider region on high alert. In response to the offensive, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf countries hosting US military bases.
The retaliatory attacks have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation, further intensifying concerns of a broader regional conflict.
The rising number of child casualties has drawn increasing scrutiny from observers and humanitarian groups, with renewed calls for de-escalation and the protection of civilians.
